Please pray for me. I suffer from a number of autoimmune illnesses and have recently hit rock bottom after a bout of shingles. It seems my pain is never ending and illness impacts so deeply on my day to day activities. I feel mis-understood and unable to control my own life.

So sorry for your suffering and struggles. May the Lord lift you up and comfort you in your illness. May He send those into your life who can encourage you through your struggles and understand what you are going through. May God in His kindness show you that he is with you and will not forsake you.
Amen

Dearest Lord - You are the Creator and Sustainer of our physical body- You know all its innermost workings and can provide relief from pain. We don't always understand how You work in our lives but know that pain will often turn our hearts to You. I ask in agreement with this dear person that you would lessen the pain. Grant her courage and the ability to cope so that she can fulfill her daily responsibilities. And above all, Lord, please draw her heart to You and show her Your mercy and Your strength.

Please pray for me - I'm hosting 10 neighbor ladies for brunch(for the 1st time since moving here 3years ago)this Sat. the 5th. I want to be a Light to these ladies. I want them to know Jesus - through me. I want to be a tool of Jesus' - to be used for His glory and purposes. I am nervous - I'm sure it's just the evil one wanting me to be worried about judgment from these gals. I have 5 little ones and am feeling overwhelmed trying to prepare and clean up the house.
Thanks for your prayers. I so appreciate all of you - your cooking, your blogs, your Lights shining for and pointing toward our Creator.
Blessings dear women.
To Him Alone!
-layne

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for Layne.
What an encouragement to see her desire to show your love to her neighbors! I can so relate to the nervous feeling and I pray, first of all, for peace in her heart in just the knowledge that she is listening to your voice. That is all she is responsible for. Give her, even today as she prepares, the moments she needs to get things done. I pray her kids will be well and happy and that nothing will come in-between her preparations that is not of you.I pray that the neighbor ladies who come will be drawn into this home and a friendship with Layne in which she can continue to shine your light into their lives. Bless this precious family where they are at.

Lord, may Layne sense your presence and strength as she hosts her neighbors for brunch. Help her to be able to relax and be at peace during their time together. Bless the ladies that come and touch them with Layne's love for them. Amen.

Layne, I just had a dinner for 20 ladies recently as well and it was a wonderful experience. If the ladies are not all well acquainted, put little conversation starters under their plates. I've found this to work so well in getting everyone relaxed and involved. It's wonderful that you are willing to take the time and effort to bring these women together.
Lord Jesus - You honour us when we reach out to our neighbours with Your love. Give Layne a calm spirit as she plans for this event. Keep her mind clear to remember what is needed, help her to be easy on herself if things go wrong (as they often do) and help her find much joy as she hosts these women. Prepare the hearts of the neighbourhood women as they come as well.
In Jesus name, Amen

I'd be grateful for your prayers. My daughter has gone back home after spending Christmas with us, and my son leaves on Monday morning. I'm still getting used to the empty nest since my son started university last September, and I find it very hard when they leave. I try to focus on the positives and thank God daily for His many blessings, but I miss them both a lot. Thank you so much for your prayers. xx

Tina, I've been in your shoes in one way or another too. I found the letting go so hard . . . off to college and/ or university and leaving an empty chair and atmosphere. It was maybe the hardest part of parenting. The good thing is, that as the kids grow and mature, you come into a grown up relationship... and they always come home again. Those times become more special as time goes by.
Dear Lord, you know the loneliness Tina is speaking of and I pray that you will help her and guide her, especially to be the mom that loves and supports her adult kids through prayer and encouragement. I pray her kids will take time to communicate with her as well.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather...he was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and has since underwent many chemo treatments. He has a scan next week to see if the chemo has helped.

Many thanks,
Heidi

Dear Lord, I pray that you would draw near to this family that has been suffering with the grandfather's illness and is now feeling the anxiety of uncertain news. Lord, you are the great Healer and I pray that the news will be good -- that you will grant this loved grandfather more good years of health. I pray too for Heidi that you fill her heart with your peace and the knowing that all your ways are good! for You are good, O Lord! thank you for hearing and answering our prayers... Amen

Thank you so much for the offer of prayer! I have feeling so very stressed about my finances. I just paid my student fees and now I don't have money for my other bills and my credit is tapped out. Please pray for calm, for trust, and for the money to meet my expenses. And I have a child who shouldn't have to pay the price for my poor money management. I don't know what I'm going to do.
Thank you so much.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for this mom who is asking for help. I thank you that You know all of her needs. I pray that she would be assured of that in some practical way and know that You are taking care of her. Give her wisdom to handle the parts that she can do something about and give her help in those circumstances that are out of her control. I pray that she will be encouraged in her walk with you and that her child will know your protection and care as well.

amen ... and sending a hug..

I left a prayer request for my friend Cindy and her daughter, they have signed a lease on a new beautiful home that is being rented for the first time. The owner installed a new heating system and professionally decorated the house with Christmas lights.
So that is the follow up to prayers answered ! Thank you ladies more than what I could have even imagined !
