Love your site, go to it many times just for recipes or assurance when I am unsure about cooking different things!
My prayer request is for my husband who has been off of work for a month suffering with a fissure. He's lost 20 lbs. having changed his diet drastically to somehow try to help this issue heal. He has returned to work this week, but has a sit-down job which is very difficult. He's home today bc he's bleeding & spasming again. He is trying to avoid surgery, but at the same time this is not heading in a direction of recovery on it's own. Would really appreciate your prayers. For a man, it's very difficult to not being able to work, depression is a concern as well. Thankyou!

Dear Lord, we bring this request before you. You hear each prayer Lord and this dear one is no different. Lord I pray that you would be glorified in this situation and we ask that you would heal her husband. Thank you for the humbleness of the request and for the cry to you for help. Lord you want us to ask you for all things and to thank you for all things...and so we are doing that here now. Thank you for your love. I pray that you would supply for all their needs while they wait for healing. I pray that you would guide them in the decision regarding surgery and give them peace if surgery is necessary.

Yes, Lord... I come too asking that you bless this dear lady with your provisions. May her husband find the healing he needs... whether miraculous, by natural means or by the wisdom of medical intervention -- all are healings from you ! And I pray that he will be able to put his trust in you , knowing that he is never alone when You are with him.. Cover this family, I pray - restore their hope and joy ! amen ...

The richness of your site is truly a blessing to me this morning. I am a chronic pain sufferer who is striving to serve in love those God has put in my life and leaning on HIM for my help. No insurance, doctors who blow me off...things all too common for many these days yet I trust the Lord to give me strength and am thankful for the grace HE provides each and every day.

I am especially weak this morning and as I logged on to my blog I was urged to yours...now I know why. What a blessing you all are. The good food and now prayer. All can be had around a table. Know you have a hug from me today and I plan to visit more regularly to pray with you all.

My request is this...for a heart of faith that will allow me to receive the grace of God fully for each day's service to others in love, for wisdom to know when I am doing too much. For guidance as I prepare to serve in the role of leader of a chronic pain support group for Christians. For the salvation of my son Samuel, my husband Ben and for my three granddaughters and my brother Randy.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for what you are doing through these beautiful sisters in Christ, for the faith and heart of love you have given the and for this new blog; I pray you will bless it abundantly. I thank you that you see every need no matter how small or big as important in your love for us. May we serve You will in this place as we pray for one another here. I also ask that you would strengthen the bonds of Christian love for one another and grant us new and lasting friendships for life. Help us to encourage one another in prayer, help these sisters to be a force for change that will reap eternal benefits in the lives of those who visit this blog and elsewhere. Your arm is not too short nor Your love too weak to be used in a vessel that is ready and willing. Encourage these sisters also Father for we know that while all seems at rest here they are busy serving and loving families, friends and strangers who come here. May all be done to glorify Your Holy Name. I ask this in the name above all names, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Can everyone please pray for Sirius. He was injured in his home this Wednesday morning. Sirius has second degree burns. He is hospitalized and needs prayer to prevent scarring. He is fourteen months old. Please may he be put on prayer lists everywhere to find a safe home to be placed in when he leaves the hospital. Thank you.

Mrs, Patty, thank you for the reminder this morning that God's arm is not too short to help those who call on Him. I bring you and your family before the Lord today and ask that as they see your life they will see God's grace and power there. With that I pray for the strength you need in your everyday life and as you lead others. A verse that encouraged me this week is found in 2 Peter 1: 3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness...." I pray for the salvation of your family as the Holy spriit draws them and allows them to see their need as well. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Dear Lord, my prayer goes up at this time for little Sirius who was injured so badly. I pray for healing from his burns and for your love to hold him tight. Watch over His life . . . guide, protect him and let him know your love throughout his life by the ones caring for him and teaching him. In Jesus' name, I pray and thank you for being able to do so.

Mrs. Patty, As I read this I can identify so personally with what you are saying. It is so good to come together and pray together as a community of believers even though we do not know each other. There is a strength and bond in the prayers of believers. I will pray for all the concerns that you have shared, and I pray for your chronic pain that you will have some relief so you are able to continue serving......from one Chronic pain sufferer to another, I have empathy with you.

Lord I pray for little Sirius, not only for the healing of his burn wounds but for the neglect that he has received. Lord, find him a home and family to grow up in that will lavish love on this child, so he may grow to be and be filled with all that he needs to accomplish the purpose you have given him in life.....in your precious name I ask.

A little girl, Carly, in our family was hit with cancer. She is 3 years old and receiving chemo and radiation therapy. She is in the hospital 24/7 for the last 6 weeks. She is struggling both physically and emotionally. Please pray for healing for her. Also keep in prayer her parents and siblings as they struggle to cope and with medical bills.

Dear Lord, Have mercy on Carly and her family as they struggle together through the pain and sorrow of cancer. Comfort them and give them your peace. Help the treatment to be effective and bring about relief and healing for little Carly. Send tangible help to them so that they can pay the bills. Lord, may they sense your love and care even in the midst of this suffering. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we know how you loved children and I lift little Carly before you this morning. Keep her free from pain, give her a sense of peace as she experiences things she does not understand. Keep her parents and family calm and give them the assurance that You will provide for them - giving them peace regarding their child, and providing finances to cover the hospital costs. Bring caring people into their life to comfort and support them. Amen.

Lord, my heart goes out to this mom who is concerned for her son and literally asking friends to help her bring him to you just like hte four friends who opened a hole in the roof to let down their friend who was sick, right in front of Jesus.
I pray that this young man will take time to care for his physical needs, that he will rest and get the medical help he can. I pray for healing for his body and time to draw near to you. Bless this family during this busy Christmas season. Let them know your peace.

Lovella ♥ said...

Lord, I also want to take a moment to bring this young man to you. You know his health issues and I ask that you would touch him with your love and healing hand. Thank you Lord for families. Thank you for this Mom who is reaching out to friends to pray for her son. I ask that you would bless her and give her wisdom in this situation. Give her the right words to speak to her son that he might listen and accept her advice.

Ladies, I would like to thank you for being excellent hostesses, sharing your recipes and the fruits of your fellowship with each other here, and emphasizing that it's important not necessarily to "impress" a guest, but to make them feel at home.

I ask for prayers for a new job. I have been employed steadily throughout my entire adult life. Almost three years ago, the employer I'd worked for for 15 years went out of business due to bankruptcy. (I'd been with another employer prior to that for 12 years.) When I was laid off due to the bankruptcy, I was unemployed for 14 of the most stressful months of my life. (I was supporting my older brother, who lived with me at that time, and used up much of my savings to supplement the unemployment benefits paid to me by the state.) In April of 2011, I was hired by a small business close to my home. My brother (15 years my senior) died in late January of this year, and I was fired from my job at the end of October. I have come through cancer, achieved complete remission this year after a difficult fight with lymphoma, through the work of good doctors and the grace of God. But if I cannot pay the taxes and utilities on my house, I will lose it. Please favor me with a prayer for honest employment. All I want to do is work and support myself. Thank you.

Lord, I ask that You would come along side this dear one. May she first know you love and care for her and the needs she has. You know her need for a job, and the details around her keeping her home. Thank you that you have brought her through her battle with cancer and I ask that You will give her strength physically, emotionally and spiritually. May your gracious hand lead favourably for her. I too pray that you will comfort her in the loss of her brother. May this Christmas season be one of renewed hope and joy. Kathy

I humbly ask for you to pray for me as I struggle with ongoing depression. While I've battled it before, it has never been this debilitating, and it's especially tough to be fighting it again since I had a season earlier this year where I believed I was healed and was loving life and filled with joy. I believe God has a plan for my life and brings all things together for good for those who love him, but some days it's so hard to have any hope for a future in this state. Please pray that God will grant me peace, my energy will be restored, that I'll learn my significance in Christ and be able to confidently share the good news with those around me. Thank you,
K

Lord, thank you for hearing us now as we call out to you on behalf of this dear one. Having struggled with depression in the past my heart goes out to this person Lord, you know how I cried out to you for healing and once again thank you for brighter days. Father, I pray that you would send encouragement and strength for each day.
Thank you for the promises you give us in your word Lord. Father, I pray that you would give doctors wisdom in knowing how to best help and give sound and wise counsel. Lord, thank you for all those who will join me here in praying together...it is such a privilege to pray together in Jesus name..knowing you hear us and love us more than we could ever know.

Romans 5:2-5 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Ladies, I love your blog. I have two prayer requests, please. One is for my 17 year old daughter. She is being treated for depression, has had some improvement, but has a long way to go. I ask for prayers that her health will be restored. Secondly, I was layed off from my job after 29 years with my employer. I ask for prayers that I may find good employment again. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of you..

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that you understand the loving relationship between a mother and her child. This mom is hurting for her teenage daughter and so I join her in asking that You bring healing and strength to this young lady. I pray that You will give her some great friends who will let her know that she is valued. Help her to know that you love her and have a good plan for her life... plans to proper her and not to harm her. (Jeremiah 29:11) I also ask for a new job for this brave lady asking for help. I pray that You will meet her needs and that she will know your loving care for the details in her life. In Jesus Name we ask and thank you that we can.

I am "A Friend in the US" from above. Thank you so much for your prayers. In the past week my daughter's psychiatrist has started her with a new therapist he thinks will be a big help to her. Please continue prayers for her recovery. I have had an interview with another division of the company from which I was laid off. Please pray for me that I am able to get this job. It is not just a job, but I need more time with my previous employer to get retirement benefits and medical benefits that I will otherwise lose.
Tonight I decided to pamper myself by making my favorite dinner, the Mennonite Girls recipe for sloppy Joes. It may not be everyone's idea of the perfect meal, but it is to me.

Prayers would be greatly appreciated for the reunification of my husband's (Roy) family, especially with his daughter, Jessica and his granddaughter, Everlee, whom he hasn't even seen. She just turned a year old recently. Healing for old wounds, hurt feelings, and even anger. This is a wonderful forum. Thank you for lifting us, and all those in need up in prayer. May you New Year be filled with love, warmth, laughter, and God's many blessings!

Lovella ♥ said...

Heavenly Father, Thank you for Genny and for her heart of love to desire restoration in her husband's family relationships. It seems like this time of year only emphasizes the divisions that so many families face. When family members choose not to come to gatherings it is hurtful for all involved. I pray now especially for Roy and his daughter Jessica. Lord would you lead and guide the conversation that they will have.. to restore contact? I pray Lord for healing and forgiveness for past hurts. I pray for little Everlee that she will know the love of family in her life. May this family seek to honor you in all things!

Anneliese said...

I agree with Lovella in prayer right now to bring this family together. May they have and take the opportunity to talk and realize they have so much to gain by forgiving past hurts and trying again. I ask that little Everlee will get to know and love her grandpa and have a wonderful relationship with him. Help us all, Lord.

I pray that he does not become discouraged and that there would be encouragers around him so that he can stay motivated. I pray Lord that you would lead him and for peace and comfort for the family. Thank you for your great love even in this situation.
