Father you have instilled in us the love of parents and children and we know that you honour this love. We pray together that You would walk alongside this family. Please be near the father, give him a real sense of Your presence and Your comfort as he battles cancer. Strengthen him and grant him courage and endurance. You alone can give this man more days with his family and we ask for that within Your perfect will.
We have all prayed earnestly for our children's future spouse and I pray with this mom that You would answer her prayer on behalf of her son and daughter and allow them to find a godly spouse. With Thanksgiving, Amen

We are dependent on you for every breath we breathe.I pray for this couple who so desire a child and I ask that you will grant them this desire. Help them to trust your timing and know your peace as they anticipate that time. Amen

Please pray for a friend and his family. His wife died unexpectedly of Influenza yesterday. She was 56, and leaves him, two children, 3 beautiful grand-girls, and many friends. His name is Bill and she is Val.

Thank you.

Oh Lord, you know the devastation of unexpected loss this family is experiencing at this time. I pray that there are people around them who will love and care for them and that they will know Your comfort and peace in ways that are beyond our understanding. Let them feel that they are not alone and cling to the hope we have in you. Help us to remember that our times are in your hands and to love one another while we have today. In Jesus name, I ask.

Heavenly Father, I pray for this family - that you would comfort this mother with the assurance that you love her son so much more that even she does. I pray that you would show her a myriad of ways, large and small to model the love of Christ to him. I pray that their family would love him in all circumstances. Please guide them in how they interact with him so that he cannot fail to see Your great love for Him and his need to turn his life over to you. Lord we claim this young man for You in accordance with Your will that no one should perish.
With Joy and thanksgiving to Christ who has the will and the power to do what we ask.
Amen

Loving Heavenly Father, You hear and understand the cry of this persons heart for their son. I too would ask that you would give guidance to the parents, as they seek You in how to discipline and give guidance to their son. I ask that you will continue to work in this boys life. Encourage these parents in the truth that even when we don't see results....You are still alive and at work even in the most rebellious life. Father I ask that You would give this son ears to hear and eyes to see who You are and bring a tenderness to his heart, causing him to seek You. Our longing for a happy family is each of our prayers, and I ask that even in this day You would bring a sign to this dear ones life that You are working. Renew Hope. Help these parents to take courage, giving them Your strength along this weary pathway. Thank you Father that You hear our prayers and that we can bring our heart cries for our families to You. In Jesus name. Amen

I have lost my very long-term employment and am struggling to find work due to my age. I am so depressed I am considering suicide so my family can have my insurance money. I have been praying that God will just take me with a heart attack or stroke but so far I am still here, struggling. I cry all the time and see no hope for me. I really feel like God has turned his back on me.

Bev K said...

My dear friend, please remember that God is beside you especially when you are walking through dark valleys like this. Suicide is never a good way out - we have personally seen just recently the devastation and sorrow that this choice leaves behind. Believe me when I say that your family does not want money instead of you. Please find medical help and know that we here at MGCC are all praying for you.
Dearest Father - we lift this despairing person before you in urgent prayer. We know that you have promised never to leave us or forsake us and we know that you are lovingly surrounding this person with your presence. Please show tangible evidence today of Your presence and bring hope and help into this life. Through the powerful name of Jesus we pray that You will protect and provide for this dear person.
Amen

Father in Heaven, I ask that in Your great love, mercy and grace that You would right now come to this person in this great hour of despair. There is a song that say..."when all around my soul gives way He then is all my hope and stay." Even thought this dear one feels like You have turned Your back, I ask that You would shower the peace of Your presence and bring comfort through Your Holy Spirit. This is Your child whom You love and care about Father....this life is precious to You. I pray that the family will today surround this person with tender love and bring someone along side who can be of encouragement. It's not an easy thing to loose a job as that we have been at for a long time, and looking for new work can be so daunting. You know the pathway and plans You have for this dear one. They are plans filled with hope and a good future. Thank you for this dear one who has trusted us with the prayer concern. We are privelaged to come along side each other in our greatest hours of need. Thank You for Your compassion and care Father. Protect this dear one and we praise You that You are able to lift us up when we are low, renew our hope and give us strength day by day....moment by moment. In Jesus name. Amen.
Dear one...please stay in touch with us. We care and want to be your support. Kathy

Father in Heaven I agree with Kathy's prayer and join with her in prayer. Father, thank you for knowing all about each and every detail of our lives. Lord, there are times when life seems so hopeless and there seems no easy solutions and this is one of those times. Father, I ask that you would send encouragement to this person and protection. Father, we don't always know where your provisions will come from and ask that you would help this person to continue to strive in seeking you in the midst of this storm. Lord, help this person to feel loved and cherished. Thank you Lord for hearing us here today.

Dear Lord, this dear person is crying out consumed by difficult circumstances. It seems that the more this person is praying, the more silent you are. Please do not allow the sea of emotions to play tricks and cause greater anxiety and fear to believe the LIE that the family is better off without them. Lord we know that is never true! Father I pray that you provide someone in their life to come along side with good resources to refer them too for genuine help. Give them hope instead of feelings of loneliness. Even the Psalmist cried out in Psalm 77:7-9 experiencing the same feelings, rejected, alone and afraid. "Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me? Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he slammed the door on his compassion?" Psalm 77:7-9 (NLT). Lord please bring to mind all the times in the past that you have seen this family through tough times and that it will encourage them to know that this experience will someday work for a greater good than what they are going through right now. "O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God." Psalm 83:1 (NIV) Amen. Thank you for entrusting us to pray for you. Like it has been said, please let us know how you are doing, and never hesitate to come and ask for prayer as you need it. It is a privilege to pray with and for you. Your life has so much value that money can never replace.

Dear Lord, I bring before you this one who feels forgotten and alone in the midst of very difficult circumstances. Remove the doubts and fears of this dear person and reassure them of Your love and protection. Send help when the road seems too hard to carry on. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, you hear the heart cry of this family and their need for support at this time so we want to help carry this load by praying with them. We ask that you continue to take care of this boy as you have in the past. Protect him from fear and from all harm. We ask that he will not have to have unnecesarry tests, but the ones that are needed and that his treatment will be good and helpful. We commit him to you to heal and to bring peace to the family. In Jesus Name. Amen

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing.

Lord we don't always know about our future but we know you hold it. I ask that this young boy and his family feel your peace, comfort and assurance as the Dr's investigate his condition. Lord you have seen them through before, we ask that you do once again and restore healing.

Mennonite Girls, I thank each of you for your prayers for me. My situation isn't any better, I received a rejection from a job yesterday, but I do feel your prayers. There are two job openings that are possibilities for me, but really very slim possibilities. Both will require that I live away from home during the week, but I am willing to do whatever I need to do to get a job. I am praying that the two employers will see my value to their companies and choose me. I don't even know at this point if I will get the interview opportunity. I don't think seeing someone will help my situation. It would only be another financial burden for my family.

Kathy said...

Father, we continue to lift up this person to You. Thank you that when we pray for each other we are able to feel those prayers....that is such a 'God gift' and we thank You that this person does feel the effects of prayers. You know the discouragement that this person is feeling. Give courage to continue to move on....knowing that You have a perfect plan for this person. In Jesus name. Amen

Hello, My husband and I just found out that we will be having our first child in October 2013. We are so excited about it, but every one in our families are angry with us and say that we shouldn't have gotten pregnant. I would really appreciate any prayers for protection for our unborn child, and also for myself and I go through this first pregnancy with just my husband at my side and no other support. I am nervous and have no one to run things by about my pregnancy. I would love any prayers that you so choose to send our way. We could really use them.

Kathy said...

Loving Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for this husband and wife who are expected their precious child in October. I thank You that life is from You and that You already know this little one by name. You have a plan for this child's life and I am so grateful that this husband and wife have each other for support. I ask that You will soften the angry hearts for their families, and bring about a change of heart, causing them to love into this young couples lives with support and care. Would You lovingly calm this dear young mom and grant her a healthy pregnancy. May this young father be a wonderful support and may you give them joy as they prepare to begin a family. I pray that the little one will grow healthy and strong day by day. You are able to do more than we ask or think possible Father. Thank You for Your tender care. Amen.

Ohh ... I say amen to Kathy's prayer ... and I just say to you Anonymous.. I am soo sorry that your families, instead of sharing in the joy of a new precious life .. are being angry instead! They are robbing themselves! May the Lord change their hearts and bring them to a place of supporting you ! I pray also that God will place His hand over you, sheltering you in His love, and protect you from being hurt.

Anonymous, I just saddens me to hear of your situation. That you don't feel that you have support. I don't know your circumstances, but believe that every parent along with their child should have support. If you live in Canada but there is wonderful people at Crisis Pregnancy Center that would love to walk with you during your pregnancy and give you support during pregnancy and after as well. Here is a toll free number that you can call that will direct you to the nearest center to you, 1-800-6650570 If you live in the states, the number to call is 1-800-712-4357. Lord I ask you that you bring along side someone that they can trust and rely on this wonderful new journey that they are on together. I pray that you bless them and their little family....knowing that they are never truly alone.
In your name I pray this for them and thank you Jesus.

Thank you so much for all of yours prayers for my husband and I and our unborn child. Our families have not changed their minds about it, but it has only been a few days, and I have faith that God can help us if we are meant to be helped. Please also pray for my stepson (he is from my husbands first marriage). his parents divorced when he was 4, and his mother abandoned him when he was 9, leaving him to suddenly live with his father again. He's never really gotten the transition. Having myself move in, marry his dad, and be pregnant with a new brother or sister.. I dont think he is handling the news very well. He is 11 years old, and has a lot of issues with women because of his mother. He uses me as his verbal and emotional punching bag because he is so angry with his mother.. I really need the patience and love to be able to deal with him. My husband also needs patience to deal with his son as he is not liking the things that his son is doing to me or the way he treats me. We are at a loss for how to parent him right now.. we really need God's intervention. There is much more going on, but this is as much as I can say right now. Thank you for your prayers again.

Dear Lord Jesus - this family has many burdens to bear but we know that You are bigger than all our problems. In fact You see us where we are and are walking alongside us each step of the way. Grant this family the ability to see Your guiding hand as they walk one day at a time and to trust You for each tomorrow. Reveal Yourself too, to this young boy who is experiencing the hurt of rejection and show him Your love for him through his Dad and Stepmom. Lord, You alone can bring good out of the problems facing this family. With Thankgiving, we pray in anticipation of the answer to our prayers.

Anneliese said...

Dear Father, you see the pain of this young woman and the burden she is bearing. I ask that You will remind her daily of Your presence. Help her to draw near to You for patience and wisdom as a step-mom to this boy.He also has gone through some hard things in his young life and I pray he will come to know peace and comfort in this new home. I ask that You will lead him and bring opportunities for him to know that You have a good plan for his life. Bring other believers into his life who will be a good example to him. I pray that the baby coming to join the family will be a source of joy and bring the family together. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please pray for my family we are going through so many things right now. Long story short. It feels like the world is against us. It is just the four of us(no friends or family). My husband is losing yet another job and is planning ahead but nothing yet. My kids are in 5th grade in their fourth soon to be fifth school due to bullying and false accusations. One kid tried to get my son in trouble(for cheating, he's a straight A student-baffling) he had horrible things said about him, lies spread, name calling, belittling, and physical abuse. On top of that a girl in his current school is accusing me of pointing and glaring at her and her friend in retaliation (for my son speaking out about the cheating), when in actuality she has been doing this to me, while I sit in my car and wait to pick up my kids (she does crossing guard). Her mom told the principal and she is concerned for her daughters safety...? I just pray all this drama would go away. I tried to clear this up with the school and they just act like we are crazy. We are open enrollment so they could care less. Sorry so long....

Julie said...

Dear Lord, I intercede for this family and ask that you cover them with your protective love. Sort out the things that are coming against them. Give them favour with employers and school staff and fellow students. Give them wisdom in knowing how to handle things. Keep them from discouragement and bring people into their lives that will stand with them in support and comfort, - people they can confide in and make them feel they are not alone. You know them by name and know what they need ... I pray that their needs will be met as they trust in you! Amen

HI,
I just finished listening to Amish Wisdom and really enjoyed hearing your voices and your words. One of you mentioned that you lift others up in Prayer and I have not been able to share with anyone my deep, deep concern for my oldest daughter who has walked away from the way she was raised. She needs Prayers but also I feel the need for Prayer too. I continue to lift her and her family up but my heart is so heavy.
Thank you that I can share this little tidbit with you because I know each of you care.
Thank you again
Brenda

Dear Lord, Thank you for hearing the heart cry of Brenda. Father, you know the heart of a mother and how she longs to have her daughter following you. Lord, I pray that you would surround Brenda with peace and comfort as she waits on you and I pray that you would bring people into this daughter's life and the lives of her family that would be an encouragement.
Lord, all things are possible with you and so we thank you in advance for all you are doing in the lives of those you love.
In your precious name,
Amen.

Thank you Julie for your lovely, eloquent prayer. I wrote it with a heavy heart,(and loss of the right words). Just wanted to share something with you. I have a picture of my family as my background picture on my desktop, in it we are smiling and happy on the beach. Looking at it tonight I noticed rays of lights(they weren't there before). Like the ones you see in the pictures of Jesus. I quickly called my kids over and they were amazed and I snapped a picture(seconds later it was back to normal). I thought it was the strange lighting in my room or my computer was acting up. Rays of God's light letting us know we're never alone. Thank you for helping me to see that. God bless and thank you.

Brenda, Just today we heard a sermon about God's heart for the one lamb that wanders away and how He leaves the 99 and goes after the lost sheep.

Lord, reassure Brenda that you love her daughter and family and you will go after her to bring her back to you. May she stay close to you and trust you and your love for her daughter.
Amen

i woud be so honored and thankful for you to pray for my family that is riddled with disfunction due to drugs and all that follows such behavior. Now there are two young children affected with both Mom and Dad in jail due to the same. The children were both borned addicted to cocain but are bright and seemingly healthy physically and mentally. Of course they do not understand about their parents. It is the saddest thing I have ever lived with. I am just the aunt, but the hurt is devastating.

Julie said...

Dear Father, I thank you for this dear aunt that you have put where she is 'for such a time as this'. You see the agonizing pain in her heart - that mirrors your own- as she watches and feels helpless against the work of the enemy in her extended family. Oh Lord, I ask for an abundant measure of wisdom and strength for this aunt and that she would 'see' what you would have her do, and may she never doubt the power of prayer.
May you intervene to turn this whole situation around to end up bringing glory to you!
My heart especially goes out to these precious little children... cover them with your protective love and watch over them to keep them in a safe place with you, unaffected by the unwise choices of their parents. Speak/move in the hearts of the parents that they would be sick of where their choices have taken them and cry out to you -- I know you are ready and waiting!
I stand with this aunt ... and ask for mercy -- and peace!
in the name of our Savior and Lord, Jesus... I pray .. and thank you for your answers already on their way! Amen
