I ask for prayer for my family. My son is expecting a baby in a couple of weeks. Things are not going well for him. I ask if you would lift him up to God to give him guidance in becoming a father. He has made bad choices in the past and I pray he will turn from his bad ways and become a new person when this baby comes in to his life. Also I ask you pray for this baby comeing into this world.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of life. You know the tiniest details of this child on the way. It is your desire that every child learns to know you and has a loving home to grow. I pray now for this man who needs guidance in how to father this child. May he put his own desires away for the sake of this child. Thank you for this grandmother who cares so deeply for her family. Father, give her grace for this day and for the days ahead. Give her wisdom in her counsel and courage for the days ahead. In Jesus name...Amen.

Thank you so much, Lovella! It helps just to know someone cares enough to lift us up to prayer to the Lord in heaven. It make me feel better to know someone is there.
Love you.

Donna, I jsut feel led to let you know how I have been encouraged in the last while on how influential a grandmother can be. We had a man working with Compassion at our church telling us that faith came to their family because of his grandmother's prayers. At my sister-in-laws memorial service her gandchildren, one after the other shared aboutthe influence she'd had on their lives. .. I pray that the Lord gives you joy and wisdom where He has put you. Cast your cares upon Him, He cares for you. I pray that you will have wonderful opportunities to show love to this child and encourage your son and the mother of the child.

What beautiful comments. There is so much power in prayer. It makes me so sad when i hear those who don't believe in God and don't believe in prayer. I say, get on your knees and test Him out! Just lovely.

Thanks you and God BLess Suzan
My heartfelt thanks to all of you! - Heather
Another verse, that encouraged me today, is Ps. 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands."
I've asked the Lord, to show your husband that He does care and that He will supply your every need.
May we all come into a closer walk with God because of having to trust Him.
"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!"
I'm praying the Lord will show your husband and you, that His promises are true, that we can rest in Him. knowing His supply for us is not dependent on earthly things but comes directly from His heavenly store ! Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
May He provide all the help you need and seek!
Dear Julie, your words are so uplifing and I thank you so much for caring. Blessings. Marier
May God provide for you funds/resources that you will be able to be the comfort and support that your daughter needs. May you know His complete provision and also His deepest peace, comfort, miraculous power and His unfailing love for you and your daughter.

they are a threat.for the future .. (to everyone )
I find comfort "God will have the last word and it will be Good "
May God bless and encourage you.
In Jesus name...Amen.
I am thankful and grateful for my life, my daughters, and I know others suffer more than I and for that I feel badly even making a request, but thisl was a difficult day
"Lord God our Father... I stand in the gap today for this dear lady whom you know by name. I know your heart breaks for her and your tears flow with hers. Though her world is plunged in darkness may she see Your light, may she find hope in you and find purpose again. Help her where she cannot help herself and carry her when she cannot walk. Enfold her in your love and teach her to know you in that intimate place close to your heart. May she hide in you and be safe. And I ask too that you provide for her material needs -- may she not lack. Thank you, Father. Amen"
"Father, we know you will never abandon one of your children. You are the Good Shepherd and you know her heartache. Please restore her soul...and give her new strength for each day. Lead her, guide her and keep her safe in Your loving arms."
I am really enjoying your blog. I hesitate to ask anyone to pray for me...I tend to feel that I should just take my needs to the Cross and leave them there. The thing is, I haven't been a widow very long and, frankly, I'm not very good at it. And, as I sit here now weeping, I just thought maybe it would be OK to ask you if you would. The hardest thing I've ever been called on to do is live without my dear husband. Anyway...I just thought I'd ask. Thank you. Martha
And how hard it is to do alone the things you always did together.
It's OK to weep, its OK to grieve.. Jesus wept as well, didn't He. And its OK to ask for help.
I pray that the Lord be your comfort and your strength and may He bring those people into your days that will walk this difficult journey with you. I read something today, I know it is trite but I thought it was good ... "Time heals, give Time time"....
Sending you a tight e-hug ... with love...
I'll leave you a promise from God's Word ~
Isaiah 46:3 NIV Listen to me...you whom I have upheld since you were conceived, and have carried since your birth. Even to your old age and grey hairs I am He, He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
God, I pray for this person who You know and love. You know the physical conditions and hardships each day of the after math of the hurricane. May you bring tangible help where needed. Lord you also know the journey this person is on with cancer and also mental health struggles. God I ask that you would touch this person's life with Your peace, and that even right now you would lovingly remind them how dearly You love them no matter what state they are in. God I ask that this person would reach for You and not go to alcohol for comfort. Thank you God that You care about this persons life and their heart. I pray that You will give rest to the weary and heavy heart of this person. Amen.
You know this person and you desire the best for her/him. I pray that someone will reach out with your love to bring hope. I pray that your Word will bring comfort and promises of your care. Provide for her needs and help her to put her trust in You to give her hope and eternal life . . . for that is why you sent Jesus to be born in a manger, to die and rise victorious over death so nothing can separate us from your love. Thank you.
My prayer request is for my husband who has been off of work for a month suffering with a fissure. He's lost 20 lbs. having changed his diet drastically to somehow try to help this issue heal. He has returned to work this week, but has a sit-down job which is very difficult. He's home today bc he's bleeding & spasming again. He is trying to avoid surgery, but at the same time this is not heading in a direction of recovery on it's own. Would really appreciate your prayers. For a man, it's very difficult to not being able to work, depression is a concern as well. Thankyou!
